Hi Reader,
Welcome to the very first edition of The Neat Reset — a gentle pause in your week to tidy your space, quiet your mind, and start fresh.
I hope this becomes a soft landing place for you — no pressure, no overwhelm. Just one thoughtful idea, a bit of beauty, and something useful for your home and heart.
For this first edition, I thought we’d begin where most resets do — with letting go. Letting go is often the first — and kindest — step toward feeling more organized.
This Week's Reset
Before you organize anything, ask yourself: “Do I really want to organize this… or am I ready to let it go?” It’s a question I come back to often — especially when a drawer is overflowing or a shelf feels off.
Because sometimes we don’t need better containers or larger spaces. We just need fewer things.
Letting go doesn’t always mean discarding things—it can be a gentle, intentional choice to keep only what truly serves you.
If you’re facing something you’re struggling to part with — even if it’s just clutter that comes with a little guilt — I wrote a blog post with gentle mindset shifts that might help:
What will you choose to keep — and what could you kindly let go of — in your own home this week?
Reset Ritual ✨
Place an empty box or basket somewhere visible this week — the hallway, your closet, or even by the front door. Let it be a quiet invitation to release what no longer belongs: a shirt you never wear, a duplicate item, something you’ve been meaning to donate.
No pressure to fill it all at once — just let it catch what you're ready to let go of, one small decision at a time.
A Thought to Carry You 🕊️
“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”
— Hans Hofmann
Sometimes simplifying isn’t just about less stuff — it’s about making space for peace.
